Kamrunag Temple & Kamrunag Lake was my second trip after lockdown. It was an unplanned trip in July starting. In Summer in lower Himachal Pradesh we need some winter feelings. Because we got irritated due to Work from Home & want to chill or would like to travel also.
So, we planned immediately to visit Mandi. We can easily reach Hamirpur to Mandi, within 2 hours. So, we prefer to visit Mandi at Kamrunag temple & Kamrunag Lake.
It was an unplanned trip to Kamrunag temple. When we reached there we stayed for one day at my friend’s house. At my friend’s house, we also visit the garden of pears. Pear of the garden is full of pears and we had done evening walk there. Had lots of fun with my friend’s baby & she is so cute. After that we had dinner.
Next, we planned for a picnic or camping in Kamrunag Valley. After entering the Valley I was thinking that really in Mandi this type of paradise exists. There is a beautiful garden of Apples at the center point of the Kamrunag Valley. But the apple is not mature yet. But we can see clearly the beautiful picture of the Apple in the garden.
We reached the Kamrunag Valley at Sunset time. At the top of Kamrunag valley, there is fog everywhere. Fog is running like a horse. Sunset is like magic & we had to click lots of pictures there. On that day we had not reached Kamrunag Temple, we planned for camping in the Kamrunag Valley at night.
We cooked some food there and did dancing, and fire burning in the Valley. It was my first time camping in the forest. It was scary or it was enjoyable too. The whole night we had burn fire and slept there in a tent. If you are a camping lover then you must have to visit Kamrunag Valley or Kamrunag temple & Kamrunag lake too.
The next day, We started our little track to the Kamrunag Temple in the morning. Where we can’t reach by car. Kamrunag Temple is at the top of the mountain that we can’t reach by car. We have to go via the forest on foot.
The next day drizzling rain started when we started our track. Track to reach the temple is about 3-4 Km. Which is a very shortcut to the Kamrunag Temple. There are so many tracks to visit in Kamrunag Lake. But this track is a total of about 13Km by car and includes 3-4 Km by foot. Most people prefer this way to visit Kamrunag Lake.

All facts are real or mysterious, actually, I don’t know the truth but I had listen to so many stories about Kamrunag Temple & Kamrunag Lake. Some people demand a child in Kamrunag Temple, and yes the wish come true. So many people after completion of their wishes give gold in the Kamrunag lake. There is so many gold present under the Kamrunag Lake and is like a golden lake.
Kamrunag Lake is about 3334 meters above than the sea level. Kamrunag temple distance from Mandi district is about 53 kms.
Kamrunag Temple Fair
Kamrunag temple has fair according to the tradition. We enjoyed the fair jalebi & pakoda at the temple’s fair. Drizzling started when enter the room. After visiting the fair we are going to leave the Kamrunag temple in the same way.
We had faced so many issues on the road because the road is fully wetted due to rain & so slippery. Car was running like a snake. I was thinking we will not reach home safely today.
But we had reached after 2:30 hours at Kamrunag Valley midway and sunrises incidentally. We have to wait to get dry the road. We had prepared maggie and clicked lots of pictures of this valley. There are so many beautiful white flowers.
We had captured the beauty of Kamrunag Valley too. So, please avoid visit there on rainy days.
