Vijayadashami celebration is a very famous festival in India before Diwali. I remember this day from my childhood. Our ambition was only to make the statue of Ravana before the Dussehra festival. Dussehra festival and Diwali festival are both famous and big celebrations in India. Even Diwali has been celebrated in the whole world for so many years. Every person is so excited to celebrate Vijayadashami and Diwali. Because we always know that holidays are coming very soon.
From childhood, we look forward to this festival because everyone has a holiday in every corporate, school, and college. The Dussehra and Diwali festivals are both famous in India. From Dussehra to Diwali, families in India will shop and decorate.
Vijayadashami is like a fair in India, and so many people go to watch this fair in the evening. Ramleela begins before some days of Dussehra, and on the main day of Dussehra, Lord Ram fires the Ravana statue. Everyone knows Ramanyan’s History. I will briefly explain why we celebrate Vijayadashami every year before Diwali.
History Of the Dussehra Festival I know From Childhood:
It is started by Lord Ram and Sita. They are in exile (Vanvas) for 14 years and during exile or Vanvas Lord Ram’s Wife Sita Mata is kidnapped by Ravana. Ravan and Lord Ram have a great fight in Sri Lanka so after that Ravn is dead. After 14 years Ram Lord, his Brother Laxman, and Lord Ram’s Wife Sita Mata are returned home. Dussehra is celebrated in Memory of the victory of good and the victory of evil. Dussehra is celebrated because evil is defeated by good. Always this should be remembered by everyone so this day is celebrated. Vijayadashmi, also known as Dasara or Dashain, is a major Hindu festival celebrated yearly at the end of Durga Puja and Navaratri.
Which God is Worshipped in Vijayadashami?
On this special day of Dussehra or Vijayadashami Goddess Durga and Lord Ram Worshipped is done every year. In every home from the previous day of Dussehra, all things are prepared. All worshipped things bought on the previous day or in Navratri. This festival is celebrated on the 10th Day of Navratri.
These are important things that should be known by everyone in India or the world related to the Vijayadashami.
Our parents also made sweets on this day and we went to watch the fair with our parents. We had lots of fun at the fair and also ate so many sweets on this day. Ravan evil is burnt and then we get back home after that. But the celebration is continued because we burnt the Ravan too at home outside which is made by us.
These are the little memories I would love to share with you on our World Incredible. Share other festival moments with you very soon. Stay tuned to World Incredible and read more blogs on our Website. Till the time Happy Dussehra or Vijayadashami to all.
